Mass Production
During this project, a product for a specific participant has been designed. This product is according to the wishes and needs of just that participant. In order to introduce a product onto the market, some modifications need to be implemented such that it is more suitable for a larger target audience.
Market Opportunity
The design not only helps people with cerebral palsy, as is this specific case of co-designing, but it also helps everyone who wants to present in public and gets nervous. The idea behind this is simply to create an aid for the speaker while presenting and help him get calm, really letting him focus.
For our specific case and design scenario, the system consists of an input (button) and an output (which is the sound playing in the earphones). This means that, with a proper standardization, the product is scalable and attractive for a bigger audience, making it desirable for mass production and consumption, reaching a new target market.
The interface we created connects these two devices through our personalized design. Additionally, the handle attached to the table of the wheelchair provides a means of relaxation and distraction, acting as a support to our original concept.
